Be careful swinging door

Last night we Tommy had a minor emergency, as he was opening the closet door, he started screaming.  I thought he just bumped his toe, so I said you should have been more careful, then I looked down and saw blood, lots!  His toenail was lifted up and exposed.  I gave him some Tylenol,  and ice and let him lay down and watch cartoons.  He was feeling good, and then he would move his leg and accidentally bump it or I would accidentally touch it, it was a mess, in all aspects. Today my mom bought him new PJ mask changing station  ( owlett and Catboy) He’s feeling better, but I still need to get that toe trimmed down, I am taking him to the doctor to have them do it because I really don’t want to cut his toe.

Feel the burn

Today I went on Groupon and got a 3-month subscription to Daily, I was really excited since I told myself I was going to start working out again.  My splenectomy in March did put a damper on my working out, then once I was good to work out again, it was hard to get motivated. I love that there’s an assortment of workouts to do, from yoga and pilates to body weight workout.

My son is usually rather tricky to put to sleep, the night before last he picked out a documentary on the Galapagos islands, and within minutes, he was out, so now every night, I put the Gallopogos documentary on and leave the room and within 10-15 minutes he is out.

Hello —

So Thomas’ birthday was Feb 28 we went to Discovery Place kids in Huntersville, his friends from church met us there and because we had the membership they were able to get in for free.  It was so much fun, so much to do and see; A fire engine  that kids and their parents could climb in, a cafe with pretend food, a bank with a drive up window, an aquarium room with a submarine.  After Discovery Place we  all went back to Thomas’ dad house and he gave me some money to go and buy some pizza for everyone.   Once I came back  we had pizza, cake  and ice cream, and the children all had fun playing together. Thomas and I stayed the night due to it being late, and I don’t drive well at night. the next night we had Thomas’ birthday dinner at Phat Daddies. Everyone had a lovely time.  Thomas’ dad took Thomas home with him for a few nights because the next night  March 2 I was going in for surgery to have my spleen removed.  The surgery went well , no complications.  It took a day or so for the doctors to get my meds straightened out.  I came home yesterday, March 5th. Today I am feeling good, sore, and dizzy.  Its been so nice to have such good support though. My aunts on my dad’s side sent me  gifts, one sent me flower bouquet, one sent me a cookie bouquet with two teddies, my friends have been calling me daily to check up on me.
